One of the largest, Ultra Mega Power Plant in India wanted attractive, but, easy to repair & maintain flooring for their Turbo Generator building. M/s Radhe Structorepair Pvt Ltd laid epoxy Screed + Epoxy Top Coat for > 14,000 M2 area.
Large area to be laid with epoxy screed followed by pigmented top coat.
Time bound project due to upcoming plant commissioning.
Ongoing mechanical works parallel at TG Building for erection of TG Set.
Planned and scheduled all the flooring activities after joint working with Client, Consultant and Contractor. Identified areas of concerns and arrived at solution, such that, job can be completed on time and still maintaining consistency and quality. Following of the methodology adopted.
Surface preparation by mechanical means.
Grove cut across cracks if any and refilling with low viscous epoxy grout.
Making square edges at joints / undulated patches and make it good using epoxy mortar
Through surface preparation using vacuum pump and apply a coat of Epoxy primer.
Apply epoxy screed at 5 mm thick as wet on wet application on primer and level it.
Finally, application of finer scratch coat on top of screed followed by overcoating with 400-micron DFT pigmented epoxy top coat.
Epoxy flooring created totally pleasing environment to TG Building.
Flooring looks jointless, very attractive, easy to clean, anti- slip and anti-dust
Being epoxy screed, it is very easy to maintain in case of any mechanical damage in future.
